These run through Appointy.com (acuity.com does not offer the functions needed for more complex hair/makeup). Appointy.com is $50 per month. The cost of setting up all the appointments will run from $900 to $1500 per year (and we have added a 6% service charge for competitors to help cover that cost).

THE FIRST System PUTS ALL HAIR AND MAKEUP INTO ONE STYLIST CALENDAR FOR EACH EVENT, SO EVERY APPOINTMENT WOULD GO INTO ONE ACCOUNT (like tanning). THEN AMY WOULD MANUALLY ASSIGN THEM TO STYLISTS LATER. THIS WAYS ALLOWS MULTIPLE STYLISTS PER TIME SLOT (1 to 10 every 30 mins, 5:30 to 8:30am) and AMY CAN CONTROL HOW MANY STYLISTS THERE ARE TOTAL. IF THERE ARE TWO STYLISTS…THERE WOULD BE TWO 6am SLOTS UNTIL BOTH ARE CHOSEN. WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER WHETHER THEY ARE HAIR OR MAKEUP. This way requires more manual stuff for Amy (she has to assign to stylists after appointments come in), but it collects the 40% and allows competitors to choose times easily.

The second way would break out each service separately for each event. The main difference here is that as someone picks a time, it automatically assigns the appointments to stylist 1, stylist 2 etc. We can set it so makeup appts go to makeup stylist and hair to hair stylist…and for BOTH HAIR AND MAKEUP…it assigns them BACK TO BACK (one at 6am, one at 6:30am for example). The DOWNSIDES of this are if there are BACK TO BACK appointments at 6am and 6:30am, one of the stylists will not be booked for the other 30 mins, and it may take a lot more rescheduling of times. It’s also WAY more complicated to set up.
